Security Officer Interview 2

Winter Watch Blue Shirt Interview 2

Officer: Alexis "Patches"

Time: 16:20 PM

C: Hi, Alexis. How are you doing today?
P: I am fantastic

C: When did you join the department / Six Flags?
P: In 2007

C: So, Alexis, what do you think of being called Patches all the time?
P: *Laughs* I don’t know what to say to that. No comment

C: Interesting answer Patches. What would you say is the best part of Winter Watch right now?
P: Haha, hmmm * thinks deeply* That’s a hard question. It’s not a million degrees out that’s always a plus.

C: What do you consider your favorite food for a break on Winter Watch?
P: I don’t know, I like anything that I don’t have to go get.

C: What was your best memory of the past season?
P: *thinks for a moment and laughs* You ask such difficult questions. What is your best memory of the season?
C: Hey! I’m the interviewer…
P: I don’t know all my wonderful memories of being in the water park all summer.

C: This was your first year being a lead, how was it?
P: *tries to hold back laughing* It was awesome.

C: Also, don’t forget you won lead of the year at the Silver Flags this year. Do you have any words for your loyal supporters?
P: I thank all those wonderful minors at the main gate for voting.

C: What are you looking forward to for next season?
P: Hoping for awesome staff just like this past season.

C: Any special plans for the Holidays?
P: Spending time with my family

C: Final question, if you could eliminate one color from the world, what would it be?
P: It would be orange. It is the worst color ever!!! It really is, If you wear orange you shouldn't exist.
C: whats with your hatred of orange?
P: Its not a good color it doesnt look good on anybody
C: What do you have to say about Agawam whose colors are orange and brown?
P: They should change their colors, just like South Hadley.

C: Thank you for this wonderful interview Patches.
P: Oh, you’re so welcome. I was interviewed for the news once for my school you could imagine how difficult those questions were for me. I should interview you!!
C: Maybe another time.

Happy Holidays!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Most of you are probably still recovering from all that turkey. As for the park, there hasn't been much happening (which is always a good thing). However, rest assured once something does happen I'll be all over it and will let you know within a week of it happening!

What have I been doing you ask? Well if you must know, I’ve been playing nonstop Modern Warfare 2! (no, no.... not here.... at home!) MW2 is perhaps the greatest multiplayer experience available currently. It's a great game! As I’m sure a lot of you already have the game, I won't continue stating the obvious as you know how awesome it is. Ugh, I want to play it right now!!

Well Chris Quigley just arrived covering for a call out. He now lucky becomes the first candidate of our new blog interview thing that just happened!

C: Pretty good

A: You've been here for quite a while, when did you start working here?
C: Ummmmm, *laughs* I don’t know what month, 2008.... Probably would be March

A: So what's the best part of Winter Watch right now?
C: *Thinks for about a minute* It is very peaceful

A: Granted we haven't really announced much yet as to what we will be changing (if anything) but what do you look forward to the most this upcoming season?
C: The opportunity to move on to other positions.
A: What position do you look most forward to?

A: Finally to make it fair, do you have a question for me?
C: The question you just asked me "Granted we haven't really announced much yet as to what we will be changing (if anything) but what do you look forward to the most this upcoming season?"
A: Hahaha, nice try! Well right now I would say the upcoming Holiday party
C: But the question is for the upcoming season....
A: Touché, well for the upcoming season, my answer right now would be to see the division system in its second year and to hopefully get back a lot of the talent we had from this past season.

A: Thank you very much for this interview, Chris
C: Haha, thank you for choosing me

EOS Poem

Heres our end of season poem with a revised ending from the version at the raffle.

Always in the park twenty-four seven,
Yeah you heard right, Security is here past eleven.
While in the park we protect and serve,
We are the Security department that you deserve.

The season began,
Fortunately we had plenty of time to plan.
Thanks to Jeff and Bill’s wisdom,
We rolled out a brand new division system.
We started a blog that started off strong,
Sadly to Bill’s dismay it didn’t last long.
New faces appeared, while old ones never vanished,
A few promotions, sadly someone became banished.

At South Team Gate, there was rarely a line
With smiles on all employees thanks to a newcomer, Sam Divine!
Playing pop music such as Madonna as our team members entered,
It made them all feel like part of an adventure.
Checking all employees as quickly as can be,
Our South Team Gate team was super friendly.

Checking bags everyday at the gate,
When it comes to code of conduct cards we won’t hesitate,
Asking the guests for all their metal, cell phones, and keys,
Sometimes there was profanity on their tees.
Checking guests fast at the gate was our goal,
And oh did we fit that role.
Due to a throughput technicality we got what we needed,
Over seven thousand guests in an hour we reached this season.

Mid-season came along, GSS scores came out
We knew what it was all about.
Our visibility sadly was a little low,
Thinking fast, we threw on some reflective vests to make us glow,
During the summer months these vests made us hot,
Needless to say we washed them a lot
The tag said only to wash them fifteen times at the most,
Unfortunately now most are toast.
As our GSS scores rised,
From Matt Marino we heard less sighs.

In the park
When it gets dark,
Trouble we may find,
Fortunately our flashlights are set to blind.
We find smokers, disorderly teens, and the like,
Each day we tell them nicely that they need to take a hike.
When we find these guests we won’t deter,
We’ll say to them:”No Warnings, Zero Tolerance” and an “I am sorry Sir.”

Crazy to think it’s the end of the year,
For the final time we called the park clear
It however gives good reason,
To continue our quest into the winter season,
Without further ado I have this to say,
Winter Watch is now our way.

Detective

Yeeee Haaaaawwww!!! Detective Fitz is here to Protect and Serve. If you have a problem he can help you solve it.

End of the Season

Our season has ended!! Right now we are cleaning up in preparation for next year. The End of Season Raffle came and went. Jenny and I were selected! I got myself a nice $25 Best Buy Gift card and Jenny got two free movie tickets. Also, our poem was quite the hit. (Will be available on here in a few days) The park is empty but at the same time very noisy with all the departments taking apart the parks games, food stands and fright fest props.

We are planning out our Holiday Party for this coming winter (slated for early 2010). Last year we had a Wii bowling tournament, an episode of The Office, Pizza, and a Raffle. We hope to do the same this year and are looking for your input. Two Polls have been setup, This year your votes will help decide our theme and food options.

For the Theme our choices are as follows:
Video Game Night
Movie Night
Casino Night
Bingo Night
Board Game Night

Video Game Night: Will be just like our Wii Bowling Tournament of last year but the platform might change. Winning the games will increase chances of raffle.

Movie Night: If won we will allow each team member to bring in a movie and vote on which one we watch that night. Raffle will compliment night.

Casino Night: We'll setup miscellaneous games such as blackjack, poker, etc. Each time you'll win you get "credits" Team members with the most credits will win prizes.

Bingo Night: Play Bingo for part of the night winners will win various prizes.

Board Game Night: Play various board games. Winning each game will increase raffle chances.

The Food!

Potluck vs. Pizza

Everyone makes something for each other or we provide Pizza and snacks

Thats it for now!

Think you have a better idea for our Holiday Party? Post it in the comments.
